Goldstar Karting
In October our drivers took to the track at Sandown Raceway in our annual Goldstar karting event. A competitive but fun spirit pervaded the day, which consisted of a 30 min practice run followed by a 2.5 hour endurance race. The drivers’ families and friends came along to support and by all accounts everyone had a great day out.
Le Mans
Goldstar Heathrow were at Le Mans again in 2010. It’s now a regular part of our annual events calendar since our first appearance 10 years ago. We have provided transport solutions for First Air every year for the last 5 years, driving their race transporters from the UK to Le Mans and back, as well as delivering airfreight for race cars and essential equipment. Goldstar drivers John Smith, Trevor Stacey, Kevin Pawson and Tony Young teamed up with Simon Rodgers Transport to provide a winning operation. The race on 12th June lasted 24 hours, whereas the transport operation took a total of 2 weeks.
Race for Life
Goldstar ladies, Sharron Caslin and Julie Prior took up the charity challenge and ran in 2010's local
Race for Life at Windsor. Proudly wearing their Goldstar T-shirts, they ran the 5K course and contributed to the £30m+ raised in events all over the UK this year for Cancer Research.
