Goldstar Heathrow - Mercedes Benz CPC Driver Training

Goldstar Heathrow is now an official Mercedes Benz Associate offering CPC Driver Training to all our drivers and to members of the public.

As of September 2009, the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) became a legal requirement for everyone operating an HGV over 3.5 tonnes. Drivers must undertake 35 hours of training every 5 years (and to be completed before September 2014) if they wish to use their HGV licence for work. The Driver CPC is being introduced across the European Union to maintain high driving standards and improve road safety. All professional lorry, coach and bus drivers will need to hold a Driver CPC if they wish to drive for a living.

Goldstar are pleased to offer official Mercedes Benz CPC Driver Training Courses that are run by our in-house DSA (Driving Standards Agency) registered instructors.

The courses consist of 1-day sessions, which are held mainly on Saturdays throughout the year. Each of the 7-hour sessions has been designed to be interactive, varied and interesting with optional assessment and feedback at the end. Through a mixture of classroom and in-cab training we aim to provide an enjoyable learning experience that brings every driver to a level far beyond the minimum demanded by the new legislation. The cost varies from £90.00 to £150.00 depending on the course taken.
